Certainly painting is not generally considered one of the performing arts, but when working on location, it can sometimes feel as if it is. This was painted in a private garden that was open to the public one July afternoon, during a benefit garden tour. About 300 people filed past my easel, with most of them making unsolicited comments about the painting in progress. Fortunately, most of them were positive. The painting was purchased by the garden owner.
