This light into blue

How does such blue light come to such glowing as this is
the way it curves around these carved shapes to find itself within?
cobalt, cut glass, blue clay comes into some new light
in a wary way we could learn to paint a life on. Still

see down there how those humbled cups in the corner
are learning to lurk in cozy splendor, how that lolling leaf
hunkers down nestling close there in its rightful place: we
could try to make a soulful symphony out of such forms

as life is made on, couldn’t we, if we dared
let rays of waiting color give us over to such grace.
